The Pixel 7 would have a smaller battery than the Pixel 6, but the same battery life

There’s not much left to learn from the Pixel 7, but a recent leak still managed to give us some additional information. The most interesting is undoubtedly the battery, smaller than that of its predecessor, namely 4355 mAh, against 4614 for the Pixel 6. However, the autonomy should not suffer too much.

The thing becomes almost a joke in the editorial staff, both by the considerable number of leaks concerning the Pixel 7 and by the reaction of Google now seems to take the thing lightly. Suffice to say that there is really not much more to learn about the next flagship of the Mountain View firm. This does not prevent leakers from digging even further to retrieve the latest information available.

In a recent leak, we therefore learn various details concerning the technical data sheet of the Pixel 7, one of which caught our attention. According to several sources, the smartphone would be powered by a 4355 mAh battery. However, this is slightly less than the Pixel 6, which is equipped with a 4614 mAh battery. The Pixel 7 would therefore suffer from a less good autonomy? Not necessarily.

The battery life of the Pixel 7 should remain average

Indeed, according to our colleagues from WinFuture, the tests of the Pixel 7 evaluated the average autonomy at 31 hours. In our Pixel 6 test, we rated the phone’s battery life at around a day and a half, depending on usage (the latter is notoriously pretty bad on this in-game point). In other words, if there is a drop, it should not be too substantial, especially since with the Extreme Battery Saver feature, it could last up to 72 hours.

Note also that this new leak announces a screen size of 6.32 inches, while the previous ones were counting on 6.4 inches. We will therefore have to wait for tomorrow’s presentation to be sure. Finally, after the last details concerning the photo sensor, we learn here that it will offer an opening of 97 degrees. The screen will offer a brightness of up to 1500 candelas.
