Tesla has just confirmed in a publication X an imminent increase in the price of the Model Y in Europe. This new rate will come into effect on March 22, 2024.
While Tesla had rather accustomed us to price drops in recent months, the American manufacturer is once again carrying out a new increase.
As we can see in a publication you should expect an increase of around €2,000.
Let us add that if Tesla does not specify the countries concerned, we can expect this price increase to be effective in France. In any case, if you were planning to buy a Model Y immediately, you might want to decide quickly when in doubt.

The price of the Model Y is yo-yoing
As a reminder, Tesla has massively reduced the price of its flagship electric SUV in January 2024 in France. For the manufacturer, it was important to react, particularly in the face of the arrival of certain major competitors such as the Renault Scenic E-Tech or the Peugeot e-3008, two models which intend to compete directly with the Model Y .
Since January 17, 2024, the entry ticket for the Model Y Propulsion therefore increased to €42,990, or €38,990 once the 2024 ecological bonus has been deducted. Note that all variants of the Model Y were affected by this price reduction. The Dual Motor Long Autonomy version with its 533 km of autonomy in the WLTP mixed cycle is now trading at €49,990 instead of €52,990. As for the Model Y Performance, its price fell by €4,000 from €59,990 to €55,990.
De facto, it’s a safe bet that the additional €2,000 announced by Tesla applies to the entire range. This should be checked when this new price list comes into force this Friday March 22, 2024.
As a reminder, if Tesla has decided to increase the price of this Model Y, Renault has chosen for its part to improve the formula of its Mégane e-Tech, without affecting the prices. Equipped in particular with additional equipment and better autonomy on all versions, the French SUV is still trading from €34,000.
