Proton VPN is a safe bet. Unlike certain obscure services, it stands out for the seriousness of its designers and its “committed” philosophy. Previously lagging behind technically, Proton VPN has caught up and now offers software with a sleek, simple and effective interface. The speeds are not the best on the market via WireGuard according to our tests, but more than sufficient for comfortable use. We also appreciate the presence of a powerful adblock and technologies capable of fighting against censorship, including in its free version. In short, a very good choice!

Surfshark is an excellent VPN tool with rather fast speeds in France and abroad, at least if you use the WireGuard protocol rather than OpenVPN. It also offers a wide range of servers, even if it does not match its “cousin” NordVPN. On the other hand, it clearly stands out from its competitors by offering an unlimited number of connections, which is very practical if you have many devices to connect simultaneously. It is also intuitive and easy to use software on both computers and smartphones.
