A hacker has finally managed to jailbreak Sony’s latest PS5 console, Google wants to undermine the effectiveness of ad-blockers on Chrome, the latest details of the Pixel 7 technical sheet have been revealed, this is the recap.
After several years on the market, Sony’s PS5 ultimately failed to resist hackers seeking to jailbreak it. For its part, Google will update its Chrome browser to a new extension platform called Manifest V3, which could well sign the end of ad blockers. The PlayStation 5 was jailbroken by a hacker
A hacker known as SpecterDev has reported successfully jailbreaking Sony’s PS5. In a video, the hacker reveals that he succeeded in exploiting a vulnerability in the Webkit rendering engine, and more specifically by accessing the Internet via the IPv6 protocol to load his own code. The latter allows him to access the settings normally reserved for developers, namely the debugging settings of the console. The jailbreak currently only works with version 4.03, and it remains to be seen what such a jailbreak could be used for.

Google wants to end ad blockers on Chrome in 2023
While ad blockers are one of the most useful weapons for frequent web users, they may not survive the next major Chrome update. Google wants to roll out Manifest V3, a new permissions and capabilities framework for Chrome extensions that will introduce stricter rules to improve user data security and privacy. The latter will arrive in June 2023 for all users, and should greatly reduce the effectiveness of ad-blockers.

The Pixel 7 and 7 Pro no longer hold any secrets
Like every year, we know everything about Google’s next smartphones before they are released. An official image from Google revealed the latest details about the two devices. Now we know that the next Pixel 7 and 7 Pro will finally be compatible with facial recognition, in particular thanks to a new selfie sensor. In addition, the Pro model will benefit from a more efficient periscope photo sensor offering a 5X optical zoom.
