Qwant announces the launch of Qwant VIPrivacy (for Very Important Privacy), a web extension whose purpose is to automatically block advertising trackers and cookies while browsing in order to protect users’ personal data.

This is where Qwant VIPrivacy comes in, which prevents advertising tracking tools and tracking tags from acting. It also makes it possible to automatically refuse cookies and to remove most intrusive banners displayed by websites.

New design and ambitions for the future

Qwant announces that it intends to launch an awareness campaign around privacy issues. The search engine’s home page will be redesigned and a new visual identity will be rolled out, including a new “ more differentiating, more readable and more sober “.
