the recap of all the announcements, very heavy!

The Ubisoft Forward 2023 has reserved its share of beautiful surprises as well as bad ones. Avatar Frontiers of Pandora, Star Wars, Assassin’s Creed… here is the recap of the conference.

The Summer Games Fest 2023 is slowly approaching its end and Ubisoft is one of the last major publishers to communicate about its future portfolio. A presentation with important issues for the French flagship, which had to reassure both its investors and the players. Between the multiple postponements, the Arlésiennes and its recent half-hearted productions, it was a bit like the conference of all hopes. Did it live up to expectations? The Ubisoft Forward 2023 finally honored the gameplay … and a little ditty. Here is the recap of the conference.

Avatar Frontiers of Pandora, Assassin’s Creed… the next releases in the spotlight

Ubisoft tried everything for everything starting with Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. The publisher’s first AAAA has finally been revealed more fully through a gameplay video showing the main mechanics of the game, which is reminiscent of Far Cry. A first presentation which however struggles to convince. Opinions diverge on social networks, some appreciating the proposal of the developers, others seeing it as an agreed game, lackluster graphics and far from a famous quadruple A promised. We will certainly have to wait to have it in our hands to get a more concrete idea of its potential before its release, finally announced on December 7, 2023.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage probably more convinced fans of the license. Homecoming has finally shown its potential in a gameplay video retracing a complete assassination mission. The opportunity to discover parkour, the tools available to Bassim but also new mechanics aimed at modernizing this tribute to the origins of the license. Speaking of the franchise precisely, two other productions showed up.

To start with AC Jade, the episode taking place during Ancient China scheduled for mobile at an undetermined date. In addition to a trailer telling the beginnings of the story, Ubisoft announced the imminent opening of pre-registrations on iOS and Android. Assassin’s Creed Nexus will cause disappointments. No gameplay, the publisher playing the card of caution by betting on a well-honed trailer. In any case, the publisher promises us comfort options so that you don’t faint during a leap of faith.

Star Wars Outlaws, Prince of Persia… great gameplay presentations

Star Wars Ubisoft Forward

Ubisoft’s next release, The Crew Motorfest also came to praise his promises. Its partnership with Lamborghini should certainly catch the eye of brand enthusiasts. Our first contact with the game is encouraging to say the least and Ubisoft seems to have a real answer to Forza Horizon 5 in its hands. Prince of Persia The Lost Crown also enjoyed. The controversial game has therefore revealed its mechanics and its concept more fully. The intention of the developers is clear: to offer a game combining challenge and dexterity like the founding episodes of the license. Here again, a return to modern sources, which will be available on absolutely all platforms on January 18, 2024.

Ubisoft also took the time to show off some of its upcoming games for the service. XDefiant will approach the time of an open beta from June 21 to 23 on all platforms. The mobile game The Division Resurgence will be released next fall on iOS and Android. Two regional beta phases are planned from June 13 to July 25 and August 8 to September 19. Unfortunately, French players will not be able to take advantage of it, France being one of the few countries sidelined. Well there was also the moment when Skull & Bones came to push the song without revealing its release date. An open beta is nevertheless planned for this summer, that’s already it, but it doesn’t bode well.

The big piece on the other hand, and also the nice surprise of this Ubisoft Forward 2023, is star wars outlaws. Massive Entertainment took everyone by surprise by unveiling a finely-honed and very promising gameplay. His vision of the open world with Star Wars sauce is already enough to put stars in the eyes of absolute fans of the license. After an excellent Jedi Survivor like all, the video game universe of the franchise seems to be on the right track.
