Just a few days after renewing its range of POCO smartphonesXiaomi is back in business with a ton of new products from Redmi.

The POCO X6 Pro and M6 Pro are still hot out of the oven and the new Redmi range is already stealing the show. As usual, Xiaomi’s affordable subsidiary is multiplying its references and is today launching no less than five smartphones. We present them to you.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ and Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G/5G

Anxious to be present at all price levels, Redmi continues, in 2024, to offer its smartphones in 4G and 5G versions. Either. However, let’s start at the top of the basket with the Redmi Note 13 Pro+, launched in China last September.

This large 6.67″ smartphone adopts a 120 Hz AMOLED screen with a so-called 1.5K definition, or 2712 x 1220 pixels (as on the Xiaomi 13T Pro). Protected by Gorilla Glass Victus, it can reach a brightness of 1200 nits and would handle the DCI-P3 spectrum at 100%.

Under the hood, we find a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC (4 nm, 8 cores @ 2.8 Ghz), up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. This is also one of the only differences with the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G and Note 13 Pro 4G: the first is equipped with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 and the second with a MediaTek Helio G99 Ultra, as well as storage in UFS 2.2.

On the battery side, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ relies on a 5000 mAh battery rechargeable at 120 W with the supplied unit. The 13 Pro 5G and 4G max out at 67 W.

We are satisfied that the three models have the same photo configuration. Namely a very beautiful 200-megapixel wide-angle sensor (1/1.4″; ƒ/1.7), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor (ƒ/2.2) and a 2-megapixel macro. At the front, a selfie module of 16 Mpx completes the lot.

To conclude on these smartphones, we appreciate that Xiaomi plans to offer three major Android updates and up to 4 years of security updates. A rarity in this market segment.

The Redmi Note 13 5G and Redmi Note 13

More affordable, the Redmi Note 13 comes in more or less similar guises to their big brothers with 6.67″ 120 Hz AMOLED screens, although limited to Full HD in their case.

The major difference between the Note 13 5G and the Note 13 4G is of course the SoC they integrate. The first relies on a Dimensity 6080 from MediaTek (6 nm, 8 cores @ 2.4 GHz) and the second on a Snapdragon 685 (6nm, 8 cores @ 2.8 GHz). It’s a close call, but previous benchmarks have shown that the Snapdragon was more efficient than the MediaTek SoC. Rather rare for a 4G model to surpass the 5G version!

In both cases, the battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh (recharging at 33 W) and the photo configuration is identical: a wide-angle of 108 megapixels (ƒ/1.8), an ultra-wide-angle of 8 megapixels ( ƒ/2.2) and a 2 megapixel macro (ƒ/2.4). At the front, a 16-megapixel selfie module brings up the rear.

In the case of the Redmi Note 13, Xiaomi guarantees two major Android updates and 4 years of security updates.
