Disney+ is going big for its releases for the week of May 6 to 12, 2024 with one of the best superhero films ever made, and an absolutely legendary series.

This weekend, the big-eared company celebrated May the 4th 2024 with the new Star Wars series Tales of Empire. The series of week 19 with a highly anticipated novelty
It’s a little more packed for the new Disney+ series with Shadows of the Past which also arrives on May 10. This is a thriller series with Elena Anaya, in the main role, known for having appeared in La piel que habito by Pedro Almodovar or in the Mesrine films with Vincent Cassel. She plays Paula Ríos, a police inspector, who will be sent to the island of Majorca after the discovery of human remains. A difficult matter for the investigator from the moment she learns that the remains belong to her older sister, who disappeared twenty-five years ago. A Disney+ original production.
But the big Disney+ highlight from May 6 to 12, and even of the month itself, will be the soft reboot of Doctor Who. After more than 60 years and nearly 900 episodes, the legendary BBC series offers a new start with Ncuti Gatwa (Netflix’s Sex Education series) in the costume of the adventurer who travels through time. All the ingredients will be there, from the doctor’s extravagance to the TARDIS, the British police cabin that doubles as a DeLorean.
