Reopening of world transfers will be delayed in FFXIV
It seems that with the current situation players will not be able to change their home world for a while, although the reopening of this service was scheduled for patch 6.0.
The game team posted about it and explained that:
“In anticipation of the server load that we may experience when Endwalker Early Access begins and its immediate impact after the release of Update 6.0, we have previously informed you that the Original World Transfer Service would reopen on December 4, 2021 at 9 a.m. PST.
However, taking into account the current state of overload on our servers, we are pushing the date of reopening this service until next week or later. “
The new date has not yet been revealed, but we can assume that it will not be available until the situation and congestion improve.
With services like this delayed, we can also expect visits between data centers to be delayed even more. We will make sure to keep you informed when further information is shared.
