Lhe Republicans wasted no time. “Let it be clear: this will be an investigation into Joe Biden. That’s what the committee is going to focus on in the next Congress,” said James Comer, a Republican from Kentucky who is expected to lead the Oversight and Reform Committee in the House of Representatives.

“This committee will assess the status of Joe Biden’s relationship with his family’s foreign partners and whether he is a compromised president or manipulated by foreign money and influence,” he said. The White House retaliated by accusing House Republicans of going after Biden “with political attacks, full of long-deflated conspiracy theories.”
