With its glasses that have been fitted to a very large number of smartphones for many years, Gorilla Glass is one of the big names in equipment manufacturers for mobile telephony.
Gorilla Glass Victus+ on the Galaxy S22
Since 2013, it’s mad love between Gorilla Glass and Samsung. The years pass and every two years, a new model is offered, always more resistant than the old one. The latest was introduced in 2020 and it is Gorilla Glass Victus, equipping the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra or the recent Galaxy S21 FE, among others.
For 2022, it will still and always be Samsung who will take over since recent leaks, relayed among others by Ice Universe on Twitter , specify that the complete range of Galaxy S22 will be equipped with the new generation of Gorilla Glass lenses, the Victus +. It is not known at the moment if the back of the phone will also benefit from Gorilla Glass, as was the case on the Samsung S21 Ultra.
There is no doubt that the screens of future smartphones will always be more resistant as innovations are developed. Maybe one day we won’t need to apply tempered glass anymore? Who knows.
