Many Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus owners are complaining about a ring-shaped blur that appears in their photos taken with the main 50-megapixel sensor. The thesis of a material anomaly is gradually gaining ground.
Are the Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus subject to a hardware problem that only physical intervention could fix? In any case, this is the hypothesis Android Authority and several specialized media, after internal tests and numerous user reports: a blur in the shape of a banana or a ring seems to invite itself a little too often on the images of the main sensor.
On Reddit, the European Samsung community and the Android-Hilfe forum, the subject is taking on a very particular importance and has cause for concern for the owners of the phones concerned. Because here, it could be neither more nor less than a defective lens. In this case, no software update could fix this anomaly.
A glaring blur
It is nevertheless advisable to take a minimum of tweezers in the face of this situation, as Samsung has not yet officially communicated on it. Many models made in Vietnam
Browsing through Reddit comments, many affected people explain that they received a Galaxy S23 or S23+ made from Vietnam. But a few more isolated cases report the same phenomenon on their model designed in South Korea.
For the moment, the situation is somewhat confused in the absence of reaction from Samsung, which will have to express itself no matter what to formalize the anomaly, whether hardware or software. In the first case, the Korean group will have to deal with a hell of a big problem.
