We knew the malware
on the Android Play Store, here they are (also) on the Galaxy Store.

Samsung’s app store is reportedly riddled with potentially dangerous apps.

Malware on the Galaxy Store

Google has been taking care of ” to clean »Its Play Store, in order to limit malicious applications as much as possible. On the side of Samsung, we offer a parallel store, called the Galaxy Store, which would not be spared …

Indeed, according to Max Weinbach, journalist at Android Police, only a few minutes were enough to bring to light various potentially dangerous applications, which see their installation blocked upstream by the Play Protect tool.

He has indeed tested several applications acting as Showbox clones, and all of them present some form of malware. Antivirus scans report malware, adware, and other riskware, along with applications that may be able to download and execute malicious code.

Some applications also have the (annoying) tendency to require a lot of superfluous permissions, such as the contact list, the call list or functions inherent in the phone itself.

Android Police explains that Samsung does not limit itself to hosting potentially dangerous applications, but that these same applications also aim to provide access to streaming movies and series, which is obviously prohibited. So be careful when you download new applications to your smartphone.
