The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 could taste this long-awaited development

Leaker Revegnus thinks he has got his hands on several elements relating to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6. According to him, this model would be entitled to a finer overall design. Excellent news if this is the case, given the delay that Samsung has taken compared to the Honor Magic V2 for example.

Like every year for a few years now, the new batch of Samsung foldable phones is expected this summer. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be revealed there. The latter faces increasingly increased competition, with the arrival on the market of the OnePlus Open and the Honor Magic V2, for example.

A thinner phone, finally?

For his part, the leaker Revegnus believes he knows a few points of improvement that will benefit the phone. On (ex-Twitter), the person concerned published a list of elements. One of them particularly caught our attention: a thinner overall design, which would result in a thinner phone.

It’s interesting, because it’s one of the main criticisms that we can make of the Galaxy Z Fold today: their thickness. The latest one is listed at 13.4 mm thick when folded, while an Honor Magic V2 peaks at only 10.1 mm. Proof that it is technically possible to design relatively thin folders.

A titanium version mentioned

Among the other expected developments, Revegnus expects better durability attributed to the UTG glass used for the folding screen, a hinge that is also thinner, an improvement in the battery of around 5%, and, surprise, a potential version in titanium. On the other hand, there is still no location for the S Pen.

As a reminder, other rumors suggest that a more affordable version of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is in the pipeline. Another rumor is also betting on a thinner phone, to the detriment of the photo configuration which would be strictly the same from one generation to another.

In short, Samsung must obviously choose its battles.
