We remember that one of the major characteristics of the Samsung Jet AI stick vacuum cleaner was the presence of an automatic emptying base, the CleanStation, equipped with a dust bag. An accessory that drastically increases the cost of the device. In order to make the Jet AI range more affordable, Korean Samsung has just rolled out the Jet 85.

This stick vacuum cleaner has exactly the same technical characteristics as its predecessor. It therefore features multicyclonic filtration to separate the air from the dust before other filters (foam, hepa, etc.) take care of retaining the finer particles. Samsung promises that this “multi-layer filtration system […] traps 99.999% of dust“. The waste should therefore all be confined in the large 0.8 liter collector. Please note, the latter does not have any automatic opening system. It will therefore be necessary to remove the bin from the main body, remove the filtration system which serves as lid, empty the bin and reassemble everything.

To power the motor, the manufacturer has chosen a Li-ion battery whose power does not decrease, even when it reaches the end of its autonomy. These batteries promise an operating time of 60 minutes, obviously at the lowest power level and without an electrobrush connected. It should also be noted that the control panel has a digital display capable of providing an estimate of the remaining battery life to the nearest second; a feature that is ultimately not so widespread in the small world of stick vacuums. The controls, for their part, are limited to the strict minimum and allow you to turn on the Jet 85 and modify the suction power.

To make the Jet 85 as versatile as possible, Samsung is very generous with accessories. Two vacuum heads are provided (one with hard bristles for long pile rugs or thick carpets, the other with a soft roller for thin carpets and hard floors) as well as a mini electric brush for upholstery fabrics or car seats, a two-in-one nozzle and minibrush accessory, a directional elbow, an additional battery and of course the storage base, also used for recharging since the Jet 85 can no longer be placed on a CleanStation.
