According to a report from LetsGoDigital, Samsung has filed a patent for a retractable smartwatch. The watch shown in the patent has two display halves. With a simple push of a button or with a finger movement, both displays should be pulled apart and the display area enlarged by up to 40 percent. In addition, both screens can also be adjusted independently of each other.
What are the benefits?
At first glance, the concept seems relatively nonsensical, but the design offers several advantages. The first advantage is the possibility of integrating a camera in the clock. There is a strip between the two displays that offers space for a camera.
Another advantage is of course the saving of space. In the most compact version, the clock is quite small and easy to use, while the largest setting makes for clearer screens.
