The Settlers: Ubisoft postpones the release of the game to an indefinite date

Expected within two short weeks on PC, The Settlers, remake/reboot of the series of real-time strategy games designed by Ubisoft Düsseldorf, will unfortunately not be available as planned on March 17. His exit has been postponed indefinitely by the German division of the French publisher.

A still insufficient level of quality

According to the developers’ explanations on the title’s official website, “The recent Closed Beta was a great opportunity for participating players to provide feedback on the current state of the game. the quality of the game is not yet in line with the team’s vision. Because of this, we have made the decision to postpone the release of the game to a later date to provide players with the best gaming experience possible. »

It remains to be seen how long it will take Ubisoft Düsseldorf to reach the level of quality expected for this remake. As a reminder, The Settlers was announced along with the compilation The Settlers History Collection during Gamescom 2018. Scheduled to be marketed at the end of 2019, it was finally postponed to 2020 and then until further notice before resurfacing at the start of the year.
