First game from the Cardboard Sword studio, The Siege and the Sandfox should see the play in 2023. Mix of metroidvania and platformer, the game is planned on PC.
In a 16-bit 2D style, the title presents itself as a stealthy metroidvania with platforming areas. As the Sand Fox, also known as Kasha’i, explore the palace and the cavernous depths of a city besieged by the neighboring kingdom.
Coming from a long line of crown protectors, you find yourself wrongly accused of having killed your sovereign. Arrested and thrown into dark, labyrinthine dungeons beneath the city, you’ll need to master the art of stealth to escape and attempt to expose the real killer. A task that will be far from easy since it is the queen herself who is responsible for the death of the king. But to save the kingdom, you will have no choice but to put an end to the queen’s plans.
