Released in 2014, The Sims 4 is now the biggest hit in the Electronic Arts franchise with nearly 70 million players worldwide. A success that can be explained in particular by the regular addition of new content through expansions with various themes, but also by the availability of the basic game for free download last October. A decision that has attracted more than 16 million new players and increased the average number of weekly users by 53%.

The various expansion packs, even if they remain chargeable, are also attracting more and more players. The latest expansion, titled The Sims 4 Grow Together, incidentally had the best launch since The Sims 4 launched the packs. A nice performance but which is not so surprising, since the features introduced were in high demand by the community. Responding to player demand, a method that seems to be proven for simulation gaming.
