Electronic Arts and Maxis have the DLCs ideal for occupying Simmers during this Valentine’s Day. They promised “a game pack that throws a party in honor of love”, so that’s why today we find out the arrival of the expansion Marriage for The Sims 4. It will introduce the brand new area of tartosa, a heavenly district dedicated to the union between lovers. Between preparation of the ceremony, decorative objects, choice of animations and shots to keep, everything will be there to transcribe the joy and the durability of a wedding.

This idyllic world is the perfect place to celebrate your Sims’ nuptials, from marriage to vow renewal, and offers a true fairytale wedding experience! You can creatively explore different aspects of your personality by planning many versions of your Sims’ dream wedding: pre-ceremony festivities, attendees, decoration, dress code, cake, venue, and more .

Festivities before the wedding
A marriage doesn’t start until your partner says “yes”, does it?
Experience the excitement of every important moment leading up to D-Day, starting with your engagement. While you can totally go spontaneity and get married in secret at City Hall, you can also spend time selecting the perfect wedding band in Create a Sim, and picking the right date and location. When your significant other has said yes (and of course she will say yes: you are fantastic!), you can organize the pre-wedding parties with her to celebrate the big news with your family and friends.
Similar to your wedding, your Sim couple can have their engagement party, Sim bachelor party, and/or rehearsal dinner their own way, with the ability to toast, give speeches, eat, to receive gifts, to dance and to choose a witness.
Perfect to-do list for planning your wedding
The fun planning of all the ceremony details can begin, and you can totally customize your wedding (or weddings)! Don’t like to dance? No problem ; we will prepare more food.
Once you’ve figured out what your Sims couple likes and dislikes, and wants or doesn’t want, you can move on to choosing a date and location. Tartosa is full of picturesque locations, from a coastal village to a forest area, with everything you need to make your wedding magical, including respectful locals and local traditions. There are extravagant ballrooms, beaches with sunsets and peaceful gardens. We’ve collaborated with community creators from different walks of life to create lands that represent our community, such as the “Wishing Palace with Garden” and the “Centennial Garden of Harmony” created by CatherineGamesYT.
Once in town, you can go to the local bridal shop to try on a wide range of dresses and tuxedos. From traditional to modern, and from the flowing white dresses with red tones and henna that Hindu brides typically wear, there’s something for everyone. You can then go to the flower cart in the city center to choose the bouquet that you will inevitably throw over your shoulder.
What’s a party without a cake? Hit the bakery for tastings and put your own spin on the perfect cake for your Sim by choosing from seemingly endless options and pairings; and don’t forget to choose the decoration that will be at the top of the cake!
The Perfect Cinematic Marriage
Today is the big day and it’s time to enjoy everything you have prepared. If you are celebrating a traditional Chinese wedding, you can start the day with a family reunion – the typical tea ceremony – serving refreshments to your respective families.
After putting on your wedding attire, it’s time to begin the ceremony. Your guests will gather to warmly await your arrival. After sending your flower bearer and wedding ring manager up the aisle (if you chose to have these Sims at the ceremony), you and your partner will do the same, alone or with someone which leads you to the altar. Once the vows have been exchanged, the “Yes, I do” pronounced and the first kiss made, the ceremony is over. Congratulations to the newlyweds ! Let the party begin !
At the wedding reception, you can toss your bouquet, cut the cake with your partner, and even dance your first slow dance together as a married couple, complete with romantic and dramatic moves you’ve rehearsed before. Then, make room for your guests who want to join you on the dance floor for a line dance! What an atmosphere!

The celebration of your couple does not stop after the reception. You will have a lifetime together to commemorate your marriage, starting with the photos you took and the vacations you planned. Whether you stay in Tartosa or go to another distant world, you can enjoy your new life with an intimate honeymoon.
As you grow older with your partner, you will also have the option of renewing your vows to reaffirm your love in a simplified version of your wedding ceremony.
The extension will be available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on February 17, 2022a little late for Valentine’s Day therefore, but before that it will be presented more on the 11th at 7 p.m., on Youtube and Twitch. One site dedicated to the virtual wedding of Dom and Camera has otherwise been put online to find out how the organization of our union could go in The Sims 4.
