Caitlin Thompson has however found a “magical” solution to avoid hearing this famous question every five minutes, as reported by the mediaWords from mothersin this month of July. On his Instagram account titled @sprinkleinlearning and followed by more than 200,000 people, this mother shares daily tips for tackling parenthood with peace of mind. Not long ago, she revealed a simple and inexpensive trick to help parents in this situation: place on the armrest located between the two front seats a single sheet of white paper. Above, paste colored Post-its indicating the number of hours remaining. As you go, hour by hour, you just have to detach said Post-it notes. A sort of simplified and fun hourglass.

A few days later, Caitlin Thompson again took to her Instagram account to share a new tip to help parents deal with the notorious issue. “Second tip for road trips: ‘Are we there?’ Give your kids tokens they can ‘cash in’ to ask the infamous question we all know they’re dying to ask on a road trip”, first explained the mother. In fact, before a car journey, she had her children take part in creating these little paper tokens by having them draw them. Once on the road, the little ones only had the right to use their precious sesame once.
