The Sony Alpha 7C R (A7C R) camera review has joined our comparison


Compact, lightweight and equipped with a very high definition sensor (61 Mpx), the Alpha A7C R was sure to appeal to photographers who do not use imposing zoom lenses or sports TVs. However, it suffers from limitations compared to the A7R V, from which it borrows part of the electronics. The viewfinder, the centerpiece of a “telemetry” camera, is therefore very disappointing, both in terms of image quality and comfort. As much as the audiences for an A7C II at €2,399 are quite easy to identify, those for this A7C R at €3,699 seem to us, aerial photography aside (on a drone), to be harder to grasp…

Canon entered the full-frame hybrid market timidly in 2018. A little less than two years later, the manufacturer has had time to improve its high-end and it shows! The EOS R5 hybrid is positioned as one of the best cameras of the moment, all categories combined. Since perfection is not of this world, it is quite possible to find a few gaps here and there. However, the overall performance is so good that it is difficult to really fault the EOS R5.
