The series The Boys is a real public and critical success and under these conditions we can understand Amazon’s desire to make a spin-off.
We know a little more about the spin-off series of The Boys. With a fairly masterful season 3 and a huge success, it is the public itself that always seems more demanding for its dose of completely uninhibited superheroes. Her name ? Gen V.
A spin-off from The Boys about superhero students
Gen V should celebrate the violence and sexuality of budding superheroes studying at the world’s only superhero college. This is obviously under the leadership of Vought. Everything obviously draws its inspiration from the X-Men academy under the direction of Professor Xavier.
As a teaser, Amazon released a video with part of the cast.
A casting but no date
We can notably find Jaz Sinclair (Roz in The New Adventures of Sabrina), Patrick Schwarzenegger (Schwarzenegger’s son), Lizzie Broadway (The Rookie), Chance Perdomo (The New Adventures of Sabrina), London Thor (Shameless) or even Maddie Phillips (Supernatural, Ghost Wars). A casting with young actors therefore. It is not yet known if we will be entitled to the appearance of a character from The Boys like the much-loved Homelander.
Amazon Prime Video has also not announced an official release date for the Gen V series, spin-off of The Boys. But since filming started in 2022, we shouldn’t have anything before 2023.
