DFL wants to examine the entry of private equity firms
In future, the DFL intends to deal more intensively with the entry of international financial investors. There should be talks from February. "If the clubs should decide to do so, it will not be because you need short-term money now, but because you want to be better positioned for the time after the Covid pandemic"said DFL boss Christian Seifert.
- The investor question is about the sale of shares in a DFL subsidiary for international marketing. The DFL had already announced that it would prepare information meetings with companies from the private equity sector interested in minority interests.
- The DFL will "set up a process to examine the offers of private equity firms from a strategic and financial point of view"it continues. "The process is expected to start in February and will be completed in the second quarter of 2021 at the earliest." The decision is made by the DFL General Assembly.
