the State could provide “a small extension” of 500,000 euros to Club France

“The public authorities will find a solution”, had assured the deputies the interministerial delegate to the Olympic and Paralympic Games of Paris, Michel Cadot, on March 27, about the financing of Club France, the future place of celebration of French sport, which will be installed in the Grande Halle de la Villette, in Paris. In this case, the State could grant a “small extension” of 500,000 euros, which will be added to the million euros he has already committed to paying, declared the president of the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF), David Lappartient, to Agence France-Presse, Monday April 15.

The latter did not hide, in March, that the budget of 22 to 23 million euros of Club France, to which the Olympic and Paralympic committees subscribe for around 7 million euros, was complicated to complete.

He had cited higher security costs than expected. But revenues are also lower than expected, certain sports federations having chosen to set up elsewhere than in this Club France.
