The State launched a tour in Chartres on Friday to promote its housing renovation assistance schemes, which are gaining momentum with the development of a network of advisors. This “France Rénov tour”, requested by the National Housing Agency (Anah) which manages aid for private housing including the emblematic MaPrimeRénov’, consists of deploying information stands on the renovation of housing to encourage the French to request aid.
In 2023, the budget allocated by the State to renovation aid has not been used in its entirety. Two tiny houses, small movable houses, housing advisors and documents to explain the renovation, were deployed in a central square in Chartres, the chosen territory of the Minister of Housing Guillaume Kasbarian. “The objective of this tour is to encourage the French to carry out their renovation work, by showing them that through these steps we are going to them to explain the materials, the procedures, the steps to renovate their property. housing, and that today, renovating your home is simpler,” the minister told the press.
2.74 billion for the energy renovation of housing
Around were stands of several organizations involved in home renovation: the Confederation of Building Craftsmen (Capeb), the Soliha network or the repression of fraud (DGCCRF). “We hope that it will be popular and that we will have a lot of reception from households to give them confidence,” Anah director Valérie Mancret-Taylor told the press.
The energy renovation of housing, crucial to meeting France’s climate commitments by reducing energy consumption, benefits from a substantial budget. In 2023, Anah distributed 2.74 billion euros for this purpose, and the budget must increase in 2024, the State wanting to provide more support for overall renovations, heavier and more expensive but much more effective.
At the same time, the network of Renovation Advisors, responsible for advising owners embarking on a comprehensive renovation, is growing in strength. Some 3,000 people are already deployed in the territory, detailed Valérie Mancret-Taylor, with a target of 5,000 by the end of the year.
After the inaugural stop in Chartres, the tour will really launch in June, with stops every weekend in small and medium-sized towns: Quimperlé (Finistère), Caudry (North), Pontoise (Val-d’Oise), La Haye ( Sleeve)…
