In Martinique, the seven-day incidence rate is still over 180 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, while a curfew is still in effect. With a vaccination rate of less than 40%, hospital pressure on site remains very high. The occupancy rate of intensive care beds is over 180%.

In Réunion, the health situation has deteriorated sharply in recent days with an incidence rate of 645 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, an increase of 19.4% over seven days. Only 63% of the population has so far received at least one dose of the vaccine.
