Dwayne Johnson asked the Grévin museum to make changes to his wax statue.
UPDATE: The statue of Dwayne Johnson has been modified and will be back in the aisles of the museum from this Wednesday, October 25.
Last Monday, October 16, Dwayne Johnson entered the Grévin museum. His wax statue required 6 months of work by the Grévin workshop team as well as the sculptor Stéphane Barret and the makeup artist Franck Bruneau.
However, the actor is not entirely satisfied with his wax double. Dwayne Johnson has in fact published a video on his Instagram account in which comedian James Jefferson declares: “It looks like The Rock has never seen the sun in his life (…). He doesn’t even look like himself anymore.”.
“If that’s how you felt when you lost The Little Mermaid, I understand. Let’s reverse things: we give you back The Little Mermaid, a mystical creature, and we take back The Rock” he adds.

In question, the color of the statue, considered far too pale by the comedian, by fans of the actor who compare it to Mr. Clean, and by The Rock himself who specifies in a message accompanied by numerous emojis that he asked the Parisian museum to review the skin color of his statue.
“I knew my friend @jamesjeffersonj had this wax statue in his sights. “Is that how you felt when you lost the Little Mermaid?” I laughed a lot when I saw that.
FYI, I’m going to ask my team to contact our friends at the Musée Grévin, in Paris, so we can work on “updating” my wax figure with some important details and improvements – starting with the color of my skin. And the next time I’m in Paris, I’ll stop there for a drink with myself.“
A message heard by the Grévin museum which removed the head of the statue of Dwayne Johnson in order to make the modifications desired by the actor. Contacted by TF1infoGrévin management declares: “Dwayne Johnson is right. Our teams are currently reworking the character in order to represent him perfectly“.
And if we are to believe the message from the Jumanji star, he himself will come to check on his double during his next trip to Paris.
