Counterplay Games failed to meet as much success as expected with the release of Godfall, and if the game has offered a free passage on the PS Plus and the Epic Games Store, at least in a light version, this will probably not be enough to revive interest around the title. It is therefore no surprise that we learn that things are moving behind the scenes, and that the studio is currently at work on a new project.
A very action-oriented shooter in preparation
It is the VeryAli Gaming site, relayed by VGC, which has spotted many job offers posted on the studio’s site, which precisely give details on the nature of this next project.
On this listing, we can see an offer for a producer position, which would aim to working on an unannounced game that would be a game ” action-shooter fantasy cooperative ยป. This one would be very combat-focused, like Godfall ultimately. Another offer also specifies that it will be a new license, and that the title would be heading for a cross-platform release on next-gen consoles.
We do not know more for the moment, but we hope for the studio that the title will be entitled to a better reception than Godfall.
