New twist in the case of the disappearance of Hélena Cluyou. While investigators are considering the trail of a road accident, a suspect is currently in intensive care after two suicide attempts.
On the night of January 28 to 29, Héléna Cluyou came off the radar after spending the evening in a nightclub in Brest. According to several testimonies in this case, the 20-year-old young woman would have left the discotheque of the OneClub early in the morning in full possession of his faculties. The student was last seen at 6:42 a.m. by a CCTV camera located between rue de la Porte and rue Saint-Exupéry in the Recouvrance district.
More than a week after the disappearance of the young woman, those around her who are considering any eventuality are beginning to fear that a malicious person has crossed Héléna Cluyou’s path that morning. But a new twist redistributes the cards in this case of disappearance. Indeed, a man is now suspected of having knocked down the young woman with his car before hiding the body. A hypothesis that remains to be confirmed by investigators while the main suspect is currently in intensive care after having made two suicide attempts.

The man in question, a Brestois aged between 35 and 40, is currently between life and death. The latter has been suspected by the police since Saturday February 4, 2023. That day, the investigators are put on this new track by a couple living in Crozon in Finistère, who have doubts vis-à-vis his brother. When reporting, the couple understood that the brother had committed an accident without providing more details. These were the words of the public prosecutor of Brest, this Sunday, February 5, 2023, a week after the disappearance of the 21-year-old student.
Born in 1986, this man from Brest is not known to the police. Despite his clean criminal record, he is nevertheless the main suspect that the investigators want to hear in this case of disappearance after his report from his entourage. Currently between life and death, the suspect is in the intensive care unit of Brest hospital after he attempted suicide twice. The 37-year-old man’s burnt-out car was found by the police. On the other hand, the latter still has no trace of the body of the missing young woman. So many uncertain elements that push the investigators to be vigilant as to the course of events in this case. A point on which insists the public prosecutor who calls not to draw hasty conclusions vis-à-vis what could have caused the disappearance of Héléna Cluyou.
