In a world where biological humanity has disappeared, a city of robots is responsible for preserving our cultural heritage, with all that that implies in terms of philosophical questions. We can also hear the guiding themes in this trailer: what is beauty for? what are puzzles used for? what can they represent? The Talos Principle 2 will focus on “a mysterious megastructure hiding enormous powers“, opening many questions about the nature of the cosmos, the intrinsic purpose of a civilization and the question of progress.”The past is prologue“, we are told. Uncertainty principle
The Talos Principle 2 will heat the gray matter with “clever meta-puzzles and extremely difficult Golden puzzles“. New abilities will help us in our quest for truth, such as mind transfer or the manipulation of gravity, allowing to solve many puzzles in a dozen biomes. We will go “from a city on the brink of a paradigm shift to the varied landscapes of a mysterious island harboring the keys to the future.“
Apart from intense reflection, The Talos Principle 2 will also give pride of place to exploration. Many secrets are buried around the world, and to better understand what is happening to us, we will have to keep an eye open, and the good one. These few images also let us admire the remarkable plasticity of the title.
The composer of the first episode Damjan Mravunac will return to service, but he will not be alone: the illustrious Chris Christodoulou (Risk of Rain 1 and 2) will also participate in the soundtrack.
The Talos Principle 2 will be available on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2023.
