Xiaomi’s Redmi range is improving year after year and its 13 Pro 5G version is a good vintage. The device is certainly not perfect, in particular because of a very average photo shutter at ultra wide angle, but it offers a very balanced service both in terms of Amoled display as well as performance and autonomy. Everything is brought together in an unsurprising, but effective format, and slightly modernized compared to the Redmi Note 12 Pro (2023) which skipped the eSIM and the under-screen fingerprint reader.

The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G was a good smartphone, but the A54 5G significantly improves the proposition. Certainly more expensive at its launch, it has a more attractive design, has a very bright screen and offers much more power. Rather good photographer for its category, the device is entitled to the usual small refinements of its range (microSD port, IP67 certification, four years of software updates) and gains support for wifi 6 as well as eSIMs. We would have appreciated even more generous autonomy, a little less heating and faster charging, but that is undoubtedly quibbling in front of this well-equipped smartphone, complete and providing a little taste of premium at a reasonable price.
