The Thaumaturge is an isometric RPG with an elaborate narrative where the tactical combat, the development of the characters and the method of investigation are presented in a singular way. In a world steeped in mysterious forces and teeming with strange ethereal creatures called the Salutors, moral ambiguity will accompany your every choice.
We are in 1905. Warsaw is under the control of the Russian Empire. Its inhabitants form a heterogeneous group with diverse, often contradictory origins, opinions and beliefs: Russian soldiers, Jewish merchants, Polish city dwellers… Despite the circumstances, Warsaw is a lively metropolis where you can go to a a grandiose party with high society and, a little later, being robbed in the dark alleys of the Praga district. A city of high hopes and dark ambitions.
In this world, thaumaturges have invaluable potential: these individuals have the ability to tame Salutors, spirit-like beings that thaumaturges use to manipulate humans, and even to fight. The thaumaturges are the only ones who know the true nature of the Salutors. With their ability to wield considerable power over others, they can profoundly influence the world around them. However, the power of thaumaturgy should not be taken lightly.
