Jan 25 (Reuters) – The Tokyo Stock Exchange ended sharply lower on Tuesday, after hitting a session low since December 2020, weighed down by investor caution over the situation in Ukraine, heightened inflationary risks and fears of a faster-than-expected rate hike ahead of the Fed’s monetary policy meeting.
The Nikkei lost 1.66% to 27,131.34 points and the broader Topix fell 1.78% to 1,895.59 points.
