The Tokyo stock market ends up 1.20%


October 17 (Reuters) – The Tokyo Stock Exchange ended higher on Tuesday, in the wake of Wall Street, as investors became more optimistic about the possibility of a limited impact of the conflict in Gaza on the markets.

The Nikkei index gained 1.20% to 32,040.29 points and the broader Topix gained 0.78% to 2,291.27 points.
