The top 10 cars preferred by companies

French companies remain loyal to national manufacturers, proves this graph again. The former PSA takes the lion’s share with nearly 20,000 more vehicles sold than Renault. The detail of the classification in pictures.

1- PEUGEOT 208

The Peugeot 208.

With its powerful front end and its slightly turbulent line, we expected the Peugeot 208 to shake up the short lists established by companies when choosing their vehicles. But Peugeot has, it seems, favored other models in the range and was rather content with a gradual increase in power. Nevertheless, it is now on the top step of the podium for best sales to companies, where the eternal enemy, the Renault Clio, has long figured.

2 – PEUGEOT 3008

The Peugeot 2008.

A true corporate phenomenon, the success of the Peugeot 3008 is undeniable. It retains its second place in the ranking of best-selling company fleets… Nearly 30% of the models sold to companies last year were plug-in hybrid versions. The sign of a feat and a strong commercial aggressiveness since this car whose prices start beyond 30,000 € has left behind the competition of premium brands.

3 – CITROEN C3

The Citroen C3.

Unlike its competitor at Renault, the Citroën C3 is enjoying growing commercial momentum with companies and individuals alike. In 2021, 190,000 sales worldwide were recorded by the chevron brand. A large influx of orders last year translates into strong deliveries this year. Citroën’s city car is thus experiencing renewed interest, particularly for its comfort and zen driving, as well as its relaxed silhouette.

4 – RENAULT CLIO

The Renault Clio.

The best-selling car to companies for more than twenty years, the Renault Clio has given up the top step of the podium to its competitor at Peugeot. This withdrawal illustrates Renault’s desire since last year to favor the profitability of its sales and in particular those made to fleets, rather than to achieve volume in low-profit market segments. In 2021, it succeeded in making the diesel versions forget by offering a new version equipped with hybrid technology.

5-PEUGEOT 2008

The Peugeot 2008

Like a 3008 in miniature, but with all the same 4.30 m in length, the Peugeot 2008 follows the same destiny as its older brother and does not hesitate to cut cruppers for it. Last year, this “small” compact SUV even took advantage of the production stoppage of the old 308 to climb to third place among the manufacturer’s best sellers. Preferred in the diesel version in company fleets, the 2008 also exists in an electric version, whose sales only represent less than 5%.
