The first celebrity load for “The Traitors – Trust No One” is here. RTL has announced the first seven candidates for the new reality crime show. From September 20, 2023, a total of 16 participants will be fighting with and against each other for 50,000 euros. Among them are three traitors who want to grab the treasure for themselves.

“Tatort” and more: Four actors in “The Traitors”

The majority of the first seven candidates are recruited from actors. “GZSZ” star Susan Sideropoulos (42) is there, as is “Tatort” star ChrisTine Ursprechen (52). Other actors in the castle in southern France: The roughneck Claude-Oliver Rudolph (66) and Florian Fitz (55), known from “Das Boot” or “James Bond 007 – The world is not enough”. The latter has appeared in numerous series and TV films. He has been part of the ZDF series “Bettys Diagnose” since 2017.

In addition to the actors, who could possibly have advantages in the format, three other stars dare to experiment. Rapper Jalil (36) is probably the most blank slate among them. Former national handball player Pascal Hens (43) honors himself after “Let’s Dance” on the next RTL show. And pop singer Anna-Carina Woitschack (30) wants to show herself independently a good year after separating from Stefan Mross (47).

“The traitors – trust nobody”: This is how the new RTL show works

The concept of The Traitors – Trust No One is reminiscent of the party game known as Werewolves or Mafia. Director Sonja Zietlow (55) secretly selects three traitors from the 16 candidates. Each night they get to eliminate one of the other contestants, called “Loyals” in the show’s terminology. The loyal ones, on the other hand, have to unmask a traitor. Unlike the celebs, viewers know who the bad apples are right from the start.

“The Betrayers” will be broadcast on RTL every Wednesday at 8:15 p.m. from September 20th. The first two episodes of the adaptation of a successful Dutch format can be seen on RTL+ on September 13th.
