the ultimate gaming mouse? Our test!

Corsair starts 2024 with some new features. Recently, I was able to review the excellent K65 Wireless Keyboard, an ideal companion for gamers looking for comfort and performance. This time, it’s a mouse that I was able to have in my hands for a while, the M75 Wireless. Priced at €130 (recommended introductory price), it aims for simplicity and efficiency, without concession. A result that meets expectations?

If you take a look at Gameblog regularly, you must have certainly seen the test of the Corsair M75 AIR Wireless mouse, a featherweight of 50 grams which had some under the hood. The novelty in question today is nothing other than its close sister, the M75 Wireless, heavier, but very similar except for a few details all the same.

A REAL ambidextrous mouse with a sleek design

The M75 Wireless therefore opts for the same ambidextrous design as its big sister. 128 mm in length to fit all palms well for approximately 65 mm in width. Sufficient space to place your hand firmly, regardless of the size of your hand. Right-handed, or left-handed, no difference. The symmetrical format of the mouse allows everyone to benefit from it, especially since this time, we have two buttons on each side of the mouse. We will only notice that the buttons on the right (designed for left-handers) do not stand out unlike those placed on the left (for right-handers) which are clearly in relief. We can see that there is still a small design preference, casually, but we are not going to spit in the soup. We are facing a 100% ambidextrous mouse, and this is one of its strong points.

Available in black or white, the mouse is ultra-simplicity. An effective textured wheel, two particularly responsive buttons for clicks which also promise very very high resistance with more than 100 million clicks lifespan announced by Corsair. You can imagine that I didn’t go and check, but we can trust them on that.

We finally have 4 configurable buttons, 2 on each side. A few LEDs outline the curves of the mouse and frame the brand logo on its base, but no other embellishments. The plastic is rather well made, even if you can see a little shine on the clicks. Small marks are barely visible after nearly a month of heavy, daily use at work and play, but they are there. The mouse remains pleasant to the touch, benefits from a good grip and a crisp, very clean finish.

The M75 Wireless still at the top of its performance

Under the beast, we will find the sensor surrounded by a few small pads which provide grip and smooth sliding. On either side of the sensor, buttons to adjust the DPI (basically sensitivity) and manage connectivity modes. Still no button for DPI on the surface of the mouse however, you will need to make your settings before entering the arena. In any case, you don’t change your sensitivity in the middle of the game.

The sensor itself is a Marksman 26,000 Dpi, with a sensitivity of 650 IPS capable of handling movements up to 50G. An in-house sensor that we already find on the M75 AIR Wireless and which has nothing more to prove. Precision, responsiveness, versatility… it’s flawless in that regard. As long as you are also equipped with a well-made mouse pad, it is a real treat for daily use, but especially in gaming. The high precision of the M75 Wireless makes it the perfect candidate for playing games. Competitive FPS or current shooters, like Helldivers 2 for example. What’s better than democratizing with precision?

Impeccable software support, once again

Additionally, if the original settings, which are excellent by the way, don’t suit you, you can always take a look at the iCue software. Like all Corsair hardware, the M75 Wireless is also compatible with the brand’s software. As always, iCue is a companion you can count on. Easy to use, clear and powerful. You can configure different profiles, have fun customizing the colors of the LEDs or even adjust the DPI. In short, you can do whatever you want.

Connectivity and autonomy on point!

As with many Wireless models, this M75 offers several modes of use. You can enjoy it wired with the supplied USB-C cable, always reinforced and anti-twist, but also and above all in wireless mode. Either you opt for the traditional and obvious 2.4 GHz via the small USB dongle provided, or via Bluetooth. In both cases, the responsiveness is top notch. No latency or problems with use. Well of course, Bluetooth is a bit below par, but it’s the norm for this mode.

Finally, the autonomy is excellent. The M75 Wireless works with a lithium polymer battery which, in addition to recharging relatively quickly, promises many, many hours of use. 65 hours wirelessly with 2.4 GHz Slipstream and more than a hundred via Bluetooth. Here again I didn’t go and check it completely, but with intensive daily use, I only needed to recharge it twice a week using it with its dongle. In short, we have a very high level of autonomy.
