And it is in this direction that the brand new version of the program, available since June 9, 2022, is heading.
In this regard, the leap forward made by Vivaldi with its update is not entirely surprising for anyone familiar with the spirit of this browser. Launched in 2015, it has chosen to offer many features and a multitude of options to personalize the experience. It has thus been described as the web browser of “power users”.
A mail client directly in Vivaldi

Here, Vivaldi offers to aggregate several accesses to your different mailboxes on the browser (Gmail, iCloud, Fastmail, Outlook, etc.), offering you a view for each and everything you need to write your letters and interact with your email. However, there are some small features, such as the double Unseen or Unread counter, to distinguish those you have seen without opening them, and the others.
In short, what Vivaldi announces is the integration of a kind of Thunderbird or Outlook house (two other messaging clients that are standalone software) in the browser.
