Vivo has announced the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro. These two smartphones are very promising, especially with the latest MediaTek chip and a very neat photo part.
Vivo recently unveiled its new high-end series in China: the Vivo X100 and the Vivo X100 Pro, successors to the X90 and X90 Pro models (8/10 on Frandroid).

These two new smartphones stand out for their design, characterized by an elegant double ring Sun Moon mirrored stainless steel. Behind this conference gibberish is the attention to detail that is visible in the design process adorning the exterior of the ring around the camera. They also feature a slightly curved screen, the thinnest ever designed in the X series. Available in four colors – black, white, blue and orange – these models benefit from IP68 certification, guaranteeing their resistance to water and dust .
Great performances
The heart of the performance of these devices lies in the new MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC. With its eight cores, including four ARM Cortex-X4s up to 3.25 GHz and four Cortex-A720s at 2.0 GHz, this SoC promises exceptional performance. Engraved in 4 nm, it offers an increase of 15% in single-core performance and 40% in multi-core compared to its predecessor, the Dimensity 9200. For games, the ARM Immortalis-G720 GPU with its 12 cores ensures 46% of additional performance in games using ray tracing, while being 40% more energy efficient.
Moreover, Vivo was proud to unveil the new record on AnTuTu V10 with a score of a few points. Which should allow him to take first place in the ranking.
It is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery supporting 120 Watt fast charging, allowing you to recharge 50% of the battery in just 11 minutes. The Vivo X100 Pro stands out with a 5400 mAh battery, offering an increased energy density of 8.3% and 100W charging power.
Both models are equipped with a 6.78-inch Super Retina 8T display, slightly curved, with a definition of 2800 × 1260 pixels and a maximum brightness of 3000 nits. Thanks to some in-house technologies, Vivo promises that its 120 Hz screen consumes as much as a classic 90 Hz mode.
And great promises in photography
Photography is also in the spotlight, with cameras from ZEISS and certified for ZEISS T anti-reflective technology.
The standard version of the Vivo X100 is equipped with a Zeiss camera with a sensor 50 megapixels (wide-angle f/1.57), providing an 85.5% increase in the amount of light captured. There is also a 64-megapixel sensor with a 3x telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle module.
The Vivo X100 Pro uses the 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor, similar to that of the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. This main camera is accompanied by two other cameras, including an ultra-wide-angle lens equivalent to 15 mm (f/2), and a third with a 100 mm lens (f/2.5, x4.3 zoom) APO treated to reduce chromatic aberrations.
Both models offer optical stabilization on the wide-angle and zoom modules. They focus on the quality of the optics and the size of the photosites, rather than the number of megapixels. Finally, these models run Origin OS 4.0, based on Android 13.
Unlikely to see them arrive in France
Presented in China, their availability in France remains uncertain. The Vivo 90 Pro was officially present on the French market, giving hope for the imminent arrival of these new models. However, the Oppo brand, from the same group as Vivo, has stopped its activities in France. Which makes us afraid of missing out on these new models.
Indeed, only the OnePlus brand, associated with Oppo, continues its discreet progression with its latest model, the Open, which is in reality a version of the Oppo Find N3 smartphone. Realme and Vivo seem to be stagnating in France. Moreover, as you have seen, Vivo, for its part, is officially launching new products in China without talking about it in France.
