Oerding and Santos are no longer coaches either
Johannes Oerding will not be seen as a coach in the upcoming “The Voice of Germany” season.

Johannes Oerding, Nico Santos and Sarah Connor will not be coaches in the new “The Voice of Germany” season.
Johannes Oerding (40) and Nico Santos (29), like Sarah Connor (41), will no longer be seen in the twelfth season of “The Voice of Germany”. That officials announced on the show’s Instagram page. The three are “taking a break this year,” the post reads. Mark Forster (39) should therefore remain the only coach from the eleventh season and also take part in the upcoming one.
“Unfortunately I can’t sit on one of the red chairs this year”, writes Oerding on his Instagram account. He simply had “so many projects” planned for the coming months. In the summer he is going on his biggest open-air tour to date and Oerding is also working on new music.
“TVOG” was “an amazing journey” for the singer and that’s why he goes “with a laughing and a crying eye”. Oerding can obviously imagine a later return. “No farewell is forever,” he continues.
The 40-year-old coached his candidate Sebastian Krenz to victory last December. “My first season ‘The Voice of Germany’ and the little dream that I’ll end up at the top with my talent has come true for me,” the singer said in a statement. In addition to him, Connor, Santos and Forster were also seen as coaches in the eleventh season.
Lena Gercke not there either
It had previously been announced that Connor would not return as a coach in the upcoming twelfth season of the ProSiebenSat.1 music show. “It’s right, Sarah Connor is taking a break in the next #TVOG season,” a “The Voice of Germany” spokeswoman confirmed at the request of the news agency spot on news.
It is not yet clear who will be in the new episodes instead of Connor, Oerding and Santos. “We will announce in good time which coaches will sit in the red chairs in season twelve,” the spokeswoman said.
In addition, Lena Gercke (34) announced that she wanted to take a break. “It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to suspend the moderation this year”, she had made public on Instagram at the end of March.
