“The Voice of Germany”: Technical glitch in the semifinals

It is a common procedure that the decision is made particularly exciting at the end of a casting show. But what the candidates had to go through in the semifinals of “The Voice of Germany” last Sunday (December 12, 2021) was pure agony. The fault was a technical error when the winner for the final ticket from Team Mark Forster, 38, was shown.

The choices were the couple Charlene and Florian Gallant and the beatbox group “Razzzones”, between which the audience had to choose. When presenter Melissa Khalaj, 32, wanted to announce the result, the screen went on strike. “We make it a bit exciting, guys … Very exciting even … Maybe a little too exciting,” she joked, trying to bridge the time somehow. Then Melissa clarified: “We have a technical problem at the moment. We have to take the graphic out again for a moment. We have to calculate again.”

The candidates had to continue to tremble, and Mark understandably looked stressed. But the “Razzzones” created a musical atmosphere to avoid boredom. Then the result was finally certain: The spontaneous beatbox interlude unfortunately did not help the boys, because Charlene and Florian Gallant are in the final.
