The Volk nerf on Warzone, a nerf that isn’t one?

While the Volk was recently nerfed in Warzone, some players seem convinced that it didn’t have much of an impact on the SMG, suggesting it might even have improved it instead.

With the launch of Warzone Season 3, Raven Software shook up the battle royale meta more than ever by doing a massive weapon balancing.

These tweaks continued throughout the season, most notably with the Season 3 Reloaded update which once again turned the meta upside down, including buffing some abandoned weapons to make them a bit more viable.

Unpopular, the Volk remains a relatively powerful weapon.

Among all these modifications, some weapons, considered a little too popular, have been nerfed, such as the Volk, a powerful SMG which has managed to gain several places in the rankings in recent weeks. However, in the eyes of some players the nerf wouldn’t really be one.

An improvement of the Volk on Warzone?

As voices began to rise on the web, a popular youtubeur revived the debate in his video of May 28, noting that you could circumvent the nerve of the Volk by opting for different accessories.

According to the youtuber, using the M3 Ready Grip can easily compensate for the speed nerf, but this is accompanied by a slightly greater recoil. Combined with the increase in the SMG’s head multiplier, the weapon has plenty to wreak havoc.

The M3 Ready Grip has already made its way into many classes, notably replacing the Carver Grip.

It remains to be seen if the developers will keep the Volk as is or if they will make additional adjustments.
