“The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” makes fan dreams come true: In season 2 of the TWD spin-off you will officially see Melissa McBride as Carol again. This is what is known so far.

It was only an open secret until now, but now it’s official: Melissa McBride will slip back into the role of Carol Peletier in season 2 of “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon”. Their return was officially announced at New York Comic-Con 2023. And it won’t just be a guest appearance, but a recurring role!
According to US magazine TVLine, season 2 will even be titled “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol”.

In episode 5 of the Daryl Dixon spin-off, Melissa had a brief cameo appearance in which Carol communicates with Daryl via radio in a flashback. Since Daryl tells her his location and also says he’ll be back in the Commonwealth in a week, Carol certainly became suspicious when her boyfriend didn’t show up as planned.
Certainly in season 2 of the TWD series, Carol finds out where Daryl is and pays him a visit. There are already the first photos from the set in Paris that show Melissa McBride as Carol alongside Norman Reedus as Daryl. The NYCC panel also revealed that Carol will appear in a scene in the Season 1 finale.
A start date for season 2 of “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” has not yet been set. However, we assume that the new episodes will appear in autumn 2024. With a bit of luck, the episodes will appear a little earlier, after all, filming for season 2 will resume in October.
