In the latest trailer for “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” we see a particularly scary zombie. Is this the original zombie?
In “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon,” titular hero and fan favorite Daryl finds himself washed up in France through “a series of bad decisions.” Exactly where the zombie apocalypse probably originated. In the latest trailer for the TWD spin-off we see a particularly creepy undead who has what it takes to be a primal zombie.
Is this undead an original zombie, a zombie variant, or is a cure being tried on him?
In the trailer you can see an undead, or “hungry” as the zombies are called in France. He wears an iron mouth guard that is very reminiscent of Hannibal Lecter and has an arrow stuck in his neck that is usually used to tranquilize animals.
The zombie is only seen briefly, but it will certainly be very important to the plot of the AMC series. We know from “The Walking Dead: World Beyond” that the apocalypse probably originated in France and that scientists there also experimented with zombie variants.
With this zombie scene we could be witnessing one of these experiments – or are we even seeing the very first zombie here? Maybe a cure is also being worked on. But check out the trailer for yourself.
The story of Isabelle, played by “Harry Potter” actress Clémence Poésy, should also be exciting. She is connected to the nuns we already know from previous trailers. In this trailer we see her with a newborn in her arms. Did she have a child in the monastery?
The series starts in the USA on September 10, 2023 on AMC and the streaming service AMC+. We’ll tell you how you can subscribe to AMC+ in Germany. It will certainly be some time before MagentaTV launches in Germany, as the TWD spin-off “The Walking Dead: Dead City” will be released there in October 2023.
