The third character is 17 year old Anne. She escapes Tennessee after her older brother assaults her and heads to Alabama with her best friend.

Speaking on the AMC talk show “Friday Night in With the Morgans” by Jeffrey Dean Morgan (“Supernatural”) and Hilarie Burton (“One Tree Hill”), Reedus explained why he wrote a novel rather than an autobiography.
“I’ve been approached about it many times, but I just don’t want to incriminate any of my friends. If I were to write a book about myself, a lot of people would knock on my door to beat me up.”
