Amazon Prime Video had already ordered the second season of the fantasy series before the start of the series “The Wheel of Time”. Fortunately, the series was well received by most and became a success. Now fans are all the more pleased that season 2 of “The Wheel of Time” has long been in production and has a fan favorite in its luggage.
This is how Elyas Machera will perform. The role, which is a companion to Perrin (Marcus Rutherford) in the books, is a wolf brother and can communicate with wolves. An ability that Perrin also has, but initially does not get along with it. Elyas helps Perrin.
In the first season, Elyas did not appear, which surprised fans of the books. But now the US website Fansided has confirmed that Elyas will actually perform. One actor has also been confirmed: Gary Beadle.
We know Beadle, for example, from the film “In the Heart of the Sea” with Chris Hemsworth and the series “Forensic pathologist Dr. Leo Dalton”. In addition, the British actor is involved in numerous productions of the National Theater.
A start date for season 2 of “The Wheel of Time” has not yet been set. Amazon’s “The Lord of the Rings” series will start in autumn 2022. It is unlikely that Prime Video will release two such large projects as “The Wheel of Time” and “The Rings of Power” in parallel and thus send them into internal competition.
We therefore assume that Season 2 of “The Wheel of Time” will not appear until spring 2023 or shortly after or before “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” in the Amazon Prime Video news program.
