The Witcher 3 finally arrives on PS5 and Xbox Series, see you on December 14

She was made to wait for this update. Repeatedly postponed before being supported by CD Project Red internally, this update of The Witcher 3 destined for the PS5 and the Xbox Series was promised to us for this end of the year. Given that we are already in mid-November, there was reason to fear a new delay for these versions, but the Polish studio put an end to the suspense today by announcing the release date of The Witcher 3 on next-gen consoles.

An update that will be free

You can be reassured, you will be able to (re)discover the adventures of Geralt on PS5 and Xbox Series warm, wrapped up under your plaid for your Christmas holidays (for the lucky ones who have some). No delay to note here, since CD Projekt Red announces that the next-gen update of The Witcher 3 will arrive on December 14 for all owners of the game.

As we already knew, this update will obviously be free. We are now waiting to find out what the PS5 and Xbox Series versions of the game will look like, and for that, the studio is meeting us next week to attend a special stream.

Until then, we can already note that CD Projekt Red confirms that these versions will be entitled to ray-tracing, reduced loading times, and the integration of several mods. Content related to the Netflix series will also be integrated, and not only on these versions, since it will also arrive for PS4, Xbox One and Switch. These last three versions will also receive an update that will bring some improvements, so as not to leave anyone behind.
