Another Arlesian from CD Projekt RED repeatedly postponed, the famous next-gen update of The Witcher 3 finally finds a release date.

Free for all owners of the original game, it will therefore land on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series on December 14, with its share of improvements to give a makeover to the masterpiece of the Polish studio.

The Witcher 3: New Hunt

Like a certain Cyberpunk 2077the next generation update of The Witcher 3 has long been desired. But everything comes at the right time to who knows how to wait for the witcher, and CD Projekt RED has finally formalized its release date.

Geralt de Riv is therefore waiting for those wishing to (re)start the adventure on December 14th. The main interest of this new version dedicated to PC and new generation consoles is of course to take advantage of the latest technologies to display the game in its best light.

Ray tracing, optimized loading times taking advantage of the SSD of the PS5 and Xbox Series (and PC if applicable) and other benefits are thus on the program. Another update for the PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch versions is also in development, promising its own set of improvements. However, CD Projekt RED does not yet have an established release date for the latter.

The Polish studio also invites us to discover more about this new generation version of The Witcher 3 during a stream next week on his official Twitch channel. Finally, remember that this update will be free for those who already have the original game.

Hoping that the incredible development it has experienced will not cause the same disappointments as when it came out Cyberpunk 2077.
