Last March, CD Projekt RED (The Witcher 3: Wild HuntCyberpunk 2077) had announced that they had started work on a brand new title The Witcher. The developers then indicated that it was, in fact, a new saga. But we had no more details at that time, especially with regard to the number of opuses planned.
In September 2022, we had, all the same, had the right to a small clue. Indeed, during a communication on the financial results of the studio, the CEO of CD Projekt RED, Adam Kiciński, had declared that the teams ” thought of more than one game for this saga, but had, unfortunately, not shared further details. However, that is now a thing of the past.
CD Projekt RED recently confirmed that the next video game saga on The Witcher universe will indeed be a trilogy. Therefore, as you will have understood, it will be available in three games in total. Moreover, the studio provided some information, via a publication on Twitter: more than 150 people are currently involved in this project, entitled “Project Polaris”. In addition, CD Projekt RED indicates that the three games should be available within six years, after the release of the first opus.

The next The Witcher title is still only in the pre-production phase. Thus, we will have to be patient before having details about the content of the game (story, gameplay, etc.) or even before seeing a first trailer. Of course, we will keep you informed as soon as new details are revealed. Two other franchise-related projects have also been announced (Sirius and Canis Majoris), as has a sequel for Cyberpunk 2077.
